 The CAF Awards will be held on July 21.


The CAF Awards 2022, Africa's most prestigious football awards ceremony, will take place in Morocco on July 21, 2022.

The CAF Awards will take place before to the final of Africa's premier women's tournament, the Women's Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 20223, which will be held from July 2 to July 23.

The occasion will also mark the two-year anniversary of the CAF Women's Football Strategy's introduction.

Following the successful launch of the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League in November 2021, a new category, Interclubs Women Player of the Year, was created.

In addition to the prestigious award, there will be several categories to be presented, as in past editions: Athlete of the YearInterclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, and Goal of the Year are among the other categories.

Captains and coaches from Member Associations, chosen media, the CAF Technical Study Group, and CAF Legends will vote to determine the winners.The time period under consideration is September 2021 to June 2022.

The CAF Awards were previously held in Hurghada, Egypt, in 2019.

Sadio Mane of Senegal and Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria were named African Player of the Year Men and Women, respectively.
