Adamu Abdullahi, the APC's national chairman, met with the senators of the party on Wednesday.

The lawmakers are Senator Ezenwa Francis Onyewuchi, who represents the Imo East Senatorial District and was elected on the PDP platform, and Senator Dauda Jika, who represents Bauchi Central and was elected on the APC platform.

Both Senators informed Lawan in separate letters that they had decided to leave the APC and PDP and join the Labour Party and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, respectively.
