Abba Kyari's whereabouts are in question following the raid on Kuje jail.

Abba Kyari

After bandits attacked the Abuja facility where he was being held, the whereabouts of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari have generated controversy.

Gunmen stormed the Custodial Center in the Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja on Tuesday night, according to The MEDIA.

Some prisoners are alleged to have fled during the raid, which lasted hours.

Famous convicts and suspects, including past governors and ministers, are housed in the Kuje jail.

Over 900 prisoners are housed in the facility, according to officials.

"He hasn't been spotted by us today. He did not attend the customary Subhi (early morning) prayer. But I'm not sure what's going on," a source inside the jail told our reporter.

An further official, who wished to remain unnamed, stated that the whereabout of kyari was unknown to him as of 09:30am.
"I'm positive he is not gone and that he did not flee. But I'm not sure exactly where he is," the official admitted.

Kyari is not missing, according to Umar Abubakar, the Nigerian Correctional Service's spokeswoman.

Kyari has not been relocated from the Kuje prison, according to Abubakar.

He remains in our care. He experienced nothing. He hasn't changed.

In a statement released early on Wednesday, Abubakar said that the service's armed unit, working with other security agencies, responded to the attack.

"Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje stormed by gunmen," read the statement.

"I wish to confirm that some yet-to-be-identified shooters attacked the Medium Security Custodial Center, Kuje, in the Federal Capital Territory at approximately 2200 hours," it said.

Order has been restored inside the prison and the situation is under control, though, thanks to rapid action by members of the Nigerian Correctional Service's Armed Squad and other security groups stationed at the Custodial Centre.

"Additional details will be released soon,"

According to Mr. Shuaibu Belgore, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, who visited the prison to confirm this information, 600 prisoners escaped from the Kuje Correctional Center after the attack on Tuesday evening.

Belgore claimed that more than 300 of the detainees had been freed.

He speculated that the shooters targeted the structure to release their terrorist allies.

The authority also said that one person died as a result of the incident and three others were hurt.

Joe Biden unintentionally divulges a "cheat sheet" his aides gave him, instructing him to "take YOUR seat and deliver brief comments." During a meeting with business executives at the White House, US President Joe Biden unintentionally displayed a "cheat sheet" with simple instructions on where to sit and what to do. Biden mistookly handed the list of directions to the photographers, which stated to "take YOUR seat," "YOU deliver brief comments," and "YOU go." The 79-year-old, who is said to have early-stage dementia, was also told to speak with some attendees, engage them in conversation, and thank them before departing. Major worries about the President's wellbeing and mental capacity as he approaches 80 have been raised as a result of his errors.
