Oyo APC leader stops disgruntled members from defecting

Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, an APC chieftain, has started the process of preventing disgruntled party members from leaving the Oyo State chapter.

On Monday, he hosted a conference at his home in Ibadan to prevent APC defections and strengthen the party.

He said that his personal interests came second to the party's unity and growth in the Oluyole Local Government Area in Oyo State.

Following his defeat in the primary election for the Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Olaosebikan, a former chief press secretary to the late Governor Lam Adesina, began the movement.

Olaosebikan reportedly emphasized that the party's unity should come first while urging all disgruntled members to back those who stood up for the party.

He declared, "We must use every possible measure to win back those who had gone and deter those who were about to leave.

"We must take these steps to ensure advancement for the APC and, ultimately, victory in all next elections in Oluyole, Oyo State, and Nigeria."

Olaosebikan assured the stakeholders that he had put the problems with the primary election behind him and emphasized that it was imperative that party members come together for the advancement of the party in all wards.

According to reports, he was able to convince everyone in attendance to firmly commit to staying in the APC and working together to advance the party.

Despite being reportedly deceived, Olaosebikan was praised by those in attendance for his steadfast support of party supremacy and his patriotism.
